warhol & MOCA

These are my attempts at liquefying and mirror imaging photos. For this one I used images of Jay-Z

This is my attempt at the Warhol photograph I chose to use an image of ufc fighter Conor McGregor.

For this week the MOCA artist im am writing about is Peter Ciccariello. Peter is a digital artist, photographer and poet whose work often integrates image and text. He studied art and design at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn NY, at the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI, and at the Parsons School of Design, New York City. Lately Peter has been experimenting with the fusion of text and images in 3-D computer graphics environments, and exploring the possibilities of poetry as landscape. The pictured piece is titled “Extremism in their Midst.”

  1. Peter uses a 3-D environment to design this from scratch. What is interesting is he has rendered it in a photorealistic way so you would never imagine that this was completely fabricated from scratch.
Did you want to try and add some color to a few more of the Warhol reductions?

  2. By the way, good job with the mirror-image face and I do in fact like the black white and gray on your image of Conor McGregor.

  3. The last painting look scary of Jay Z I like the black and white painting it also looks like a great cover for a horror movie.
