MOCA Week 6

This week's image was done by an artist named Kuniharu Shimizu who was born Japan and who was tired of the monotony of photography and realistic painting he then began to work on abstract art , and specifically computer art. He now consistently uses Adobe Illustrator, he considers his art now to be "haiku paintings" being inspired by haiku poetry and it's poets. Shimizu is actually advisor to the World Haiku Association. Shimizu stated "I am not much concerned about the newness of appearance, which is often considered a valuable thing in digital art works. I rather put in some substantial content in my digital works so that the viewer can extract many layers of meanings from them." This image is such a story telling image, the imagery is very poetic, and the colors are warm. To me it shows life on water and land but how they live amongst each other in a natural environment.
