MOCA Week One

The artist that stood out to me week one in MOCA was Thomas Broadfoot who's alias name is BySilent and this particular artwork is called Tall Ships which is actually a seven image series. Thomas Broadfoot uses 3d rendering and landscape programs, and what is most impressive about him is that he is self-taught. What I like about this image is the color of the water matches the color of the sky, the three boats seem to sit still on the almost calm water, and it seems relaxing but the orange gives it, it's extreme elements as well. Thomas Broadfoot used the 3D graphics application Vue to create this image.

  1. Very interesting that he uses a 3D program... the creative possibilities are endless with that... I am teaching 3D on the computer now in the day program and might build an online version in the near future.
