MOCA Week 7

This week I chose an image from an artist named Rory Walker who has been drawing professionally for 10 years. Walker states "I do all the drawing using the most uncomputerized methods imaginable via a dip pen and ink on some paper, which is then scanned into Photoshop and coloured simply by dropping colours into different areas." What I like about this image is the cartoon character and that it is smiling, it seems like it is telling a story, and it is amazing how you can incorporate hand drawn artwork with digital affects.

  2. This technique is one of the oldest in digital imaging… We had scanners way before we had digital cameras. It combines the best of both worlds illustrators can do their cartoon outline more easily with pen and ink yet then when brought into Photoshop can add color ingredients more effectively plus the image is then digitized and ready for the digital publication.
