This week I chose an image by the artist Cris Orfescu. He creates electronic images in a new discipline called NanoArt. In the artist's own words, "I bring the small world in front of my audience by mixing the realistic images of the nanostructures I create with abstract colors, digitally painting and manipulating the monochromatic electron scans, and finally printing them on canvas or fine art paper with inks specially formulated to last for a long time".
He is lucky to have access to a scanning electron microscope...They can also be seen as a view of the planet from space.
ReplyDeleteThis is very interesting. I never knew there was a discipline called NanoArt!
